Tamia Overes
The Full Story
Tamia & Christopher Overes
Tamia and Christopher Overes are a father and daughter artist team from the səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation. Their collaborative works blend traditional Coast Salish teachings with contemporary design, celebrating themes of land, water, and kinship. Together they create public artworks that honour the stories of their people and the connection between generations.

Mission
Our work as a father-daughter artist team is a conversation between generations. Together we weave the old and the new, honouring teachings carried through water, land, and story. Each piece is a reflection of where we come from and where we are going, created to restore balance, to listen, and to remember. Through our art we seek to connect people to place and to each other, carrying forward the strength of our ancestors in a contemporary voice.
