'Bench 170' Sunshine Coast Airbnb Review

Hey guys!

My fiancé and I recently went away for our 8 year anniversary and we stayed at Bench 170 on the Sunshine Coast. We were actually the first guests EVER to stay at this house on Airbnb. Being the first guests at an AirBnb is a bit intimidating after watching The Barbarian (spoiler: the movie where a crazy killer lady lives in the basement of a rental home). Thankfully, we had a peaceful stay without any hiccups (or attempted murders).

This home is located in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast, about a 40 minute ferry from Horseshoe Bay. It's located right off the main highway, which is the only downside of this property in my opinion. It's a bit hard to find off the highway, and it's hard to slow down when there's a line of cars behind you & the speed limit is 80km/hr. The noise from the highway does die down at night, and didn't impact our sleep at all.

Although we didn't have the pleasure of meeting our hosts, they left fresh roses, champagne, chocolates, and grapes for us. They even accommodated a late checkout. The home is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal from home, and they also had high quality shower products (some Airbnb's cheap out on shampoo, so I was quite happy).

As a professional bathtub enthusiast, I was in love with the giant bathtub in the primary bathroom.

This property has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom is quite spacious and has their own TV. The main living space is very spacious with vaulted ceilings and huge windows.

At the time of our stay, the nightly rate was $300 with a cleaning fee of $60. Compared to the other Airbnbs in the area at the same cost, this is great bang for your buck. If you plan on taking a trip with a bigger family or friends, this would be very affordable split between multiple guests.
